Featuring Refuge, Fashiowl Poses and Meva
I think my age is showing a little this morning, at least to myself. Of course that never bother me, age is only a number, right? It wasn’t until the end of the post when I was thinking of a title that it happened.
The thoughts going through my mind were words like sweet, sugar, candy and the first one I thought of was Candy Girl by New Edition..yes, back when they were still babies. You can listen to it here. Just a few bars into the song though I knew that wasn’t the one. Then my “older” brain kicked in and I thought of Sugar, Sugar.
Sugar, Sugar spent 4 weeks in the number one spot back in 1969 and was by fictional characters, The Archies. I was a comic book fan as a child and the Archie series was right up there with Casper, Spooky, Hot Stuff and Little Dot. In fact, part of my legacy Second Life name, Victoriacooper, comes from Betty Cooper who was the girl next door type and was head over heels with Archie. Fun memories!
