Featuring ZK Store and Lyrium
I am a window shopper, partly because I like to see how stores have arranged their window displays. That is the creative side of me showing through and of course I can admire a well done display even if the items aren’t what I am shopping for.
The history of window shopping really started back in the late 1800’s when plate glass became available. Store owners started to build large windows, sometime even the length of the store. Window shopping was especially big during the Christmas holiday and one of the first holiday displays was done by Macy’s in New York City. It was done in 1874 and featured a collection of porcelain dolls and scenes from Harriet Beecher Stowe’s “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” As a lover of vintage, especially children and Christmas related, I would have loved seeing these. It reminds me of a scene in the movie “A Christmas Story” where all the kids have their faces pressed against the glass, looking at the Christmas display at Higbee’s Department Store.
Ok..let me stop with all the Christmas talk before I start pulling out my holiday decor…afterall, we aren’t even near Halloween yet!
My gorgeous outfit, clearly not Christmas or Halloween related, comes to us from ZK Store and is available at Vanity Event, which starts today. As always, it comes in a large variety of colors. The outfit and boots are all sold separately or as a fatpack and there is a big fatpack that includes the outfit and the boots. Lots to mix and match here!
My pose is from Lyrium and is part of the Alina Series. The Alina series is available at Dubai Event. The event ends on the 10th so you still have time to go take a peek! Happy shopping.
