Featuring |T|L|C| Home Collection and The Little Branch
I have always loved Canadian Geese. Then I was young, and before we moved to a more rural area, there was a park like, partially wooded and grassy area near the courthouse where we could always see them. It was exciting because that was pretty much the only wildlife we saw in the city. Then when I was in 6th grade we moved to the “country” and there was wildlife everywhere.
There is a movie, loosely based, on a true story about a man who helped Canadian geese migrate using his ultralight plane. The movie, Fly Away Home, was released in 1996 and stars Jeff Daniels as the main character with a VERY young Anna Paquin (better known as Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood) as his daughter. It’s a great movie, especially for nature and animal lovers, and actually received a nomination for Best Cinematography at the 1996 Academy Awards. I have seen it pop up on different cable channels now and again so if you happen to catch it on, watch and enjoy!
