You have to love Poe at Halloween if not at any other time of the year. When I lived in Michigan we would make the three hour drive to Cedar Point in Ohio every in October for their themed Halloweekends. My daughter and I loved it. The haunted houses, the fright zones and Wicked Twister which sat right near the shore of Lake Erie, one of the Great Lakes for those not from that area. Walking through the queue, filled with spiderwebs (real ones) and looking out into all that blackness of the endless lake always added to the creep factor.

While those were all great they were not my favorites. My favorites were the kettle corn and the Tell Tale Heart storyteller. The kettle corn was made outside in a HUGE black pot bigger than any witches cauldron. It was and still is the tastiest I have ever had. The storyteller was amazing. They had created a secluded, scary seating area that held a rather small amount of people. This helped with the immersion into the macabre that you were about to witness. You can find a Youtube video of the storyteller doing his thing here. I usually watch it every Halloween since I am far, far away from Cedar Point now.
