Bringing Autumn Indoors

Halloween is over but we still have a lot of Autumn to go before I start dragging out my Christmas decorations (though that time will be here before I know it).

I have a yard full of leaves and was actually inspired by this Promagic backdrop to Google some ideas for stringing leaves as shown in the framed art used in the backdrop. I found a craft that I am going to work on next week when the temperature is going back up to 60 degrees. Basically you collect the leaves, the flat ones that are still supple will work best, and you dip them in beeswax or paraffin and then allow the wax to dry. Once that is done you string them with a needle and some cotton thread and “Taaadaaa”….you have a pretty Fall Garland. I’ll let you know how it goes!

The Fall Backdrop from Promagic is available at Collabor88 and comes with everything you see in the photo except for the leaves around my head. You can add more to it if you like but it also has plenty of built-in decor to use without having to add anything. It is quite large also and you can actually take a picture at either end and have them look like 2 different builds. Great job on this one Promagic!
