Featuring The Little Branch and |T|L|C| Home Collection
I know I have talked about my love of Disney a few times now and several of my pictures have been inspired by that love. This one is no different. What surprised me though was what triggered the idea for this photo.
You all know about 6 degrees of separation, correct? If not, basically it’s the idea that people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. I think this is how my brain works where Disney is involved. Show me anything and I am pretty sure I can relate it back to Disney somehow in six or fewer “steps”.
In the case of this Banyan Tree from The Little Branch it took me 2 steps to get to The Lion King. Step one was when I saw the name of the tree. The Banyan tree is what is used as the park icon at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida. It’s a larger than life, man made tree that stands 145 feet tall and has over 300 animals carved into its root system and trunk. Step two is my favorite live show at the Animal Kingdom, Festival of the Lion King, which is a Broadway style show filled with music, amazing costumes, puppets and performers. There you have it….my two degrees of separation.
