Featuring {Why Not?} and Lyrium Poses
How cute is this potting bench? The Culloch Garden Bench is a new release from {Why Not?} and is available in the main store. The chair has really great animations in it…when the pup is not making himself comfy in it that is!
If you follow my blog you know I sometimes get sucked into Google while searching for references about what I am blogging or just learning something about it. You also know I am a big Disney fan and as I said before…I can usually use that “seven degrees of separation” thing to get back to a Disney reference and this post is no exception. The title of the picture came to me immediately and you may or may not know the old nursery rhyme…depending on your age. *winks* The rhyme goes as follows:
Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.
While researching some of the different variations in the wording I came across a reference to a 1957 animated film titled “The Truth About Mother Goose”. To quote Google, “In it, a trio of jazz-singing jesters sing three Mother Goose nursery rhymes, while an off screen narrator explains their origins in three animated vignettes.” One of the three is the Mary, Mary rhyme. The film was actually nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film that year. The film was released by….drum roll please…..Walt Disney Productions. So there you have it…Mother Goose and Disney in the same post! Enjoy your day!
