Where’s The Beef?

Do you remember Clara Peller? Maybe you do but just don’t know her real name….so, do you remember the little old lady in the Wendy’s commercial who asked “Where’s the beef?”. Well that was Clara Peller. I am sure some of you recognized the tag line and others (you youngsters) have no idea what I’m talking about.

Clara Peller was a cute little (she was only 4′ 10″) old lady who was the star of a very popular advertising campaign for Wendy’s back in the mid 80’s. She was 81 years old at the time. See, it’s never to late to become a star! Did you know she was a manicurist in Chicago for 35 years! That is a LOT of mani’s! She passed away in 1987, one week after her 85th birthday. So to answer the question, “Where’s the beef”?…..my furry little friend has it..and is making his getaway!

Today I am blogging a fun new release from Krescendo. It is the very interactive Barbecue Set. This set takes you through all of the steps of grilling up your favorite foods. Starting with lighting the grill and placing the raw food. You can watch it cook and if you’re not careful you’ll watch it burn! When it’s ready to serve everyone will be able to help themselves from the platter. The barbecue comes with a color hud as well as a decor and accessories pack so you can set out a plate for all your guests. Super cute and just in time for all the summer barbecues! You can see the barbecue in person at The Food Court, open now through June 28th.
