I dawned on me that perhaps I am enjoying doing these fall photos so much because I truly miss my Michigan autumns. I’m pretty sure I wrote about this last year too. The colors are just not the same, there is no brisk air and it’s certainly too hot for a sweatshirt when it’s 85 degrees outside. When I lived in Michigan, I lived in a rural area, surrounded by LOTS of trees which truly painted the landscape in red, orange and yellow. There are some people who have only seen colors like that in pictures, and while those pictures are beautiful, it is just not the same as seeing them in person, standing in the middle of all of that beauty while the brisk air nips at your face. I am starting to see small signs that fall in Alabama is just around the corner; cooler evenings and mornings, pumpkin displays, a few mums and I did have a frozen apple cider slushie, my first, that was absolutely delicious! Wherever you are I hope you are enjoying the shift of the seasons!
