The weather here in Alabama has been beautiful the past few days (at least at the time of writing this) with more to come. I took the dogs for a short walk this morning and there was a perfect breeze moving along with us. That breeze stayed with me when I sat down to work on this photo and I thought about the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan. The Dunes run along the shore of Lake Michigan and have designated areas for exploring on foot or hopping in a dune buggy and having a blast. There are lighthouses dotted here and there and after a little fact checking I discovered that there are more lighthouses along Michigan’s shores than any other state in the U.S. Going “up north” in Michigan always promised fun and adventure.

I am sure there are a bunch of great places of interest here in Alabama and I really should do a little research and find some adventures locally or suitable for a day trip. There is a local museum of natural science that we wanted to go to while my bonus son was here but it was closed due to Covid. It has reopened now so I need to make plans to check that out. The weekend is just around the corner and the weather (at the time of writing this) looks perfect.
