Love Is Just Around The Corner

A couple of bloggers that I follow have both recently wrote a bit about their personal lives and relationships and they were both so well written and their thoughts about love and relationships were pretty much spot on. I know they are both out of their 30’s and the things they wrote about are things that I don’t think you really understand until you ARE out of your 30’s and into your 40’s or even 50’s.

I had originally titled this photo “Wait for Me” and in my mind I was thinking “Oh look at her leaning there, keeping her guy waiting like she is some sort of diva” and saved it to finish the credits the next day. That night, as I was reading blog posts I follow, I came across the ones I mentioned above. I continued to think about them after I removed my glasses and put them on the nightstand and when I rolled over to reach out and hold my husbands hand, like I do most every night, I thought about how blessed, fortunate, lucky…all of the above, I am…we are. Don’t get me wrong, there are days we argue about things; the dogs, garbage cans, the remotes and where the hell have they disappeared to now, etc., but we don’t argue about “us”.

When I logged back in yesterday to finish the credits, I no longer liked the title or the original vibe behind it. When I looked at the picture this time, I saw a woman, pausing to enjoy the scenery , before stepping around the corner to see the new sights that were waiting just ahead. I would like to wish those 2 women a future of beautiful scenery…whatever that may look like to them and to remind all of us that we never know what may be just around the corner until we turn it.
